LaMotte® Topsoil Tour Kit

Designed especially for elementary and middle school, Topsoil Tour employs simplified soil science methodology. Students examine and compare the physical and chemical properties of soil samples that they collect themselves, and they learn about properties of good and poor soil as related to requirements of plants. Each student conducts soil tests for texture, pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium using nonhazardous reagent tablets individually sealed in foil strips.

Testing materials and sample test bags for 50 students are included. Includes complete lecture materials, illustrated handouts, teacher tips, test procedures, data sheets, and games to reinforce key concepts. Refill includes replacement TesTabs® and plastic soil test bags for a class of 50 students to perform the exercises in the Topsoil Tour.
