Mineral Exploration Kit

Introduce students to the basic techniques of mineral identification. Students will learn to identify 12 common minerals by observing and testing their physical properties.
 
Each kit contains a 1-lb bag of mineral chips in gravel, forceps, streak plate, magnet, and a magnifier. Three rock samples demonstrate how rocks are composed of small mineral chips. Teacher's guide and storage box are included.
